Another great Q episode. Aren't they all? I wonder what would have happened if Janeway did have Q's baby... How does one even start to discipline a Q baby? Oh well, questions never to be answered. Good episode.

De Lancie's touch as Q is always magic. I'm not completely comfortable with the idea of bringing mortals into the continuum, but they do it well. Plakson did a good job as a Q as well. Nice analogizing overall, and it seems obvious to me why Janeway couldn't be the mother. What would happen when the mother made the baby unhappy? Bye-bye Mommy.

The character of Q really evolves during Voyager, and this episode adds another layer to the all-powerful Q. It is extremely interesting to see Q's "ex" and her jealousy of Janeway that Q seems to be swooning over. The Civil War of the Continuum shown as the American Civil War was a nice touch as well. Overall, a really cool episode, especially if you're a Q fan
