HRH The KING 0 Posted June 22, 2005 Amazingly, this episode was written by Brannon Braga, which shows that he actually did have a clue a few years ago. I think though, that most of the credit for this episode goes to its director Gates McFadden for directing without a doubt, the scariest episode of Star Trek ever. The scene where Worf spits acid into Beverley Crusher's face is genuinely disturbing as is the shocking scene where Barclay de-evolves into an arachnid. I once heard that Brannon Braga de-evolved into a chimp but it turns out that he was always like that anyway. Gold Standard Episode. Rating =
GhostofMajorHayes 10 Posted January 19, 2008 Neat premise, but why didn't Date devolve into a powerbook? I give it a 1.
youbroughtheryouRiker 2 Posted April 21, 2008 I gotta admit, I loved the opening and closing comedy moments in sick bay: "I thought we'd agreed you'd check with me first before going to the medical database!" and "He turned into a spider and ends up with a disease named after him." "I think I'd better clear my calendar for a month." Good story, and nice use of real science to find the way out of this one. Oh the wonder that is the woman's womb. 4.
