Average episode.

After the initial scene I loved the way the fake officer just appeared on screen.

I thought "Who the hell is that????" :assimilated:

Again though, the one thing that I got sick of with TNG is the "Alien-Of-The-Week" gimmick that becomes tiresome quickly.

DS9 concentrated on developing a few solid layered races instead of superfically dealing with new aliens every week.

Also, it's ridiculous that the alien race that McDuff came from could so easily take over the Enterprise.

Rating = 1

4. Same problem with the Satarrans taking over Enterprise as they did. I mean, honestly. But the larger issue of how do we act when we have to rebuild who we are is what made this episode good. Laren and Deanna both having a thing for Will. Worf's ego (and sash) makes him think he's all that. Even with the amnesia, those in authority had no problem making their points be known. Fine stuff from that angle. Also, nice use of the shaky handheld camera after the blanking of everyone's memory. Nice subtle ambience to that.

I agree with everyone's issues about the 'stupid alien race takes over Enterprise then screws it up' formula, but I had to give this one a five for the Riker/Ro scenes! Meow!!!! :blush 2:
