Federation emissary Tam Elbrun is a Betazed with extraordinary telepathic abilities and a former patient of Deanna Troi's. I didn't really like this episode that much.

I've never really found the Betazoids to be particularly interesting.

The only one who I thought was a good character was the mad Lon Sudar from VOY, but mostly I find them annoying and with Lwaxana comedic.

I gave it a 4. Almost worthy of a 5. A good ep and I liked the inclusion of a very different type of alien lifeform- you know not just the same stereotypical patch a forehead on a suspiciously looking humanoid "alien". Very creative story and good f/x make this fun to watch.

I gave it a five...you can't go wrong with a Betazoid episode, especially when the Betazoid in question also happened to be Mayor Wilkins on Buffy.
