Name the Actor's Greatest Role

49 posts in this topic

Here's a game that doesn't necessarily have a "right" or "wrong" answer but requires some thought.

The first person names and actor - the next person answers with their greatest role and then leaves a name for the next person.

Ex:

If I left the name 'Roy Scheider'

the next person would probably answer Jaws, however I'd go with All That Jazz because he received an oscar nomination for that performance. Still either most critically acclaimed or most memorable are okay.

I'll start with an easy one: Clark Gable.

I probably watch too many movies but I'd like to add a couple of highlights.

Scott Bakula received critical acclaim for American Beauty (I never saw it)

Brent Spiner was terrific in Introducing Dorothy Dandridge - all Brent fans should see this.

Gary Sinise got an emmy for his portrayal of Wallace - Sinise fans might want to check this out (I personally liked Of Mice and Men)

As for Sean Connery - most well known for James Bond I'll go with

The Untouchables (Oscar performance)

(Did anyone see Darby O'Gill and the Little People?)

Okay next.

Sam Waterston

Sam Waterston as Jack McCoy (Law & Order) his probably the role of is that I most enjoyed. Though I thought he was good as Lincoln.

James Earl Jones

Watched and actually have Introducing Dorothy Dandridge, a pretty good film and Brent was very good in it.

And yeah, I remember Darby O'Gill

As for James Earl Jones...

Darth Vader(Star Wars), voice of Mufasa(Lion King), King Joffee (Coming to America); he was in Cry the Beloved Country (never saw it myself, but read the book in high school and remember hearing that he was in the movie version); he was in The Hunt for the Red October...to name a few

How about....
