DrWho42 13 Posted September 29, 2004 Well, since I haven't seen anyone post a thread on this subject yet... Here it is. Now, I have been hearing about this asteroid for quite awhile now.. First heard about it on George Noory Coast to Coast AM, whenst Linda Moulton Howe on the show. According to the information I have found, it should come nearby tomorrow... Any thoughts, comments, opinions, and et cetera will be welcome.

Airies 0 Posted September 29, 2004 Hmmm. I usually hear about these things on the various news casts I read on-line but have not about this one. Maybe it's a conspiracy to keep it from me. :fear: Or mayb I have been spending too much time in here. I will investigate.
A l t e r E g o 9 Posted September 29, 2004 Oh cool Who, I didn't realize the time to look for this was approaching. Here are some related stories and a guide to finding it's location relative to where you are... http://www.cyberspaceorbit.com/indexback140.html http://www.qadas.com/qadas/nasa/nasa-hm/0285.html Ephemeris Generator I'll be watching for it! Airies 0 Posted September 29, 2004 I just read about it on CNN.COM. They say it will not be visible from the norther hemisphere till October and even then it will be very difficult to track. I might have to call the observatory and see if they are going to be tracking it and take a trip down if they are.

A l t e r E g o 9 Posted October 2, 2004 Bummer, I read at one of the links; at least a 6" diameter telescope is required for viewing this object. Shoot.
