How would you serve starfleet?

Recommended Posts

Click For Spoiler
You would serve in starfleet as a Commander. You have a command position. You may have started your career in Starfleet by working in Security/Tactical. Any of the following positions could be available on a Starship:

* Security Systems Management

* Weapons Officer

* Torpedo Room Officer

* Chief Weapons Officer

* Security Chief

Behind every mission is the need to feel safe. Security personnel are always the first to arrive, and the last to leave. They understand that danger can come from any direction and are always prepared for the fight that may never come. Through this dedication, loyalty and attention to detail they give us this feeling of safety. We all appreciate this because underneath it is hope. The hope that we should all learn from our mistakes, face our fears and live long enough to appreciate the beauty the universe shows us every day.

* Propulsion Engineer

* System Mainenance Technician

* Impulse Engineering Specialist

* Chief of Impulse Propulsion Systems

* Warp Core Supervisor

* System Diagnostic Engineer

* Duty Engineer

Technology tells us how far we can go in the universe. It tells us who we can talk to, who to help, who to teach, and who we can learn from. Engineers are always willing to experiment with new ways to increase the efficiency of the systems they work with. The only thing worse than a failed experiment is a failure to learn from it.

w00t, commander!

In the StarTrek universe:

You would serve in starfleet as a Commander. You have a command position. You may have started your career in Starfleet by working in medical. Any of the following positions maybe available on a Starship:

Medical Officer

Nurse

Medic

Medical Technician

Counselor

Some people are not as interested in technology as the people behind it. They believe that a society should be more than just a bunch of wires and machines. Our technology may tell us where we are going, but does it really tell you what we paid to get it? The success of every mission is measured on the health of the crew. Even though technology can be repaired, there are some things which can't be replaced.

:P and here i am thinking i would get the position as a cleaner..

"Through space the universe grasps me and swallows me up like a speck; through thought I grasp it."

( - Blaise Pascal, French scientist)

Vast and ancient, the universe has a lot to teach us. It does not care about borders or conflict. Science tells us what it says, and what to do with it. From this understanding we have technology. Scientists are always pushing to learn more about the universe and about ourselves. How we use that knowledge defines our respect for the universe that spawned it.
