Jer8m8 0 Posted July 14, 2004 Any of you ever heard of paradox entertainment? They make some really good grand scale strategy games. More like civilization than Age of Empires, but still very engrossing. http://www.europa-universalis.com/forum/

Jim Phaserman 0 Posted July 15, 2004 I enjoy the Starcraft and Civilisation Games. I also play Diablo. then again, as a Military officer, my whole job is strategy, either on the Tactical (the individuals) or Strategic (Big picture) scale.

Rivendells_king 0 Posted July 16, 2004 Armada Star wars galatic battle grounds Age of mythology War of the ring *war craft style of LOTR very bad* But anyways whats everybodys best stratge for beating random map for these games? For star wars galatic battle grounds I make a large strike force and than I have a aireal assualt, with air transporst full of pummels, jedi and mechs, ready so while my larger attack force draws out the army and the aieral assualt draws the fire away from the air transporst that go to a weak center of the enemy base and boom destrucion. Well for armada I dont have a strategy except build a big bunch of soverigns and blow up the enemy base Age of mythlolgy gets so slow during the battles *sigh* But when it dosent I wait til the mythic age and build up some seige equipment and a large army of chimeras and manticores and a large amount of hades archers *yes I use them because they are like elves* and than I make a front line of hoplites and the weird hesputais or what ever *dagger people* and than I attack the enemy base and use earth quake once I find there main miltary area and than I retreat back to my temples but I set up a under world passage and than I go back to the base through that. WEAREBORG4102 0 Posted July 16, 2004 Do you use the temple of healing from Apollo? It works very nicely.
Rivendells_king 0 Posted July 17, 2004 YEP WAB I build about 5 of them and place them like this T T T T T See so I just put my units there and they get healed quicker because of the number of temples, because I think they can only heal one unit at a time. But When I play as egypt I build a army of preists and as the norse I use thor to build a army of calvalry and valyrie and send them on hit and run raids, man with bargis, god of poetry or who ever and his ruin upgrade sheild madien valykrie are like super fast, and villagers dont stant a chance.
