So many of them to choose from. How about this one..

"Of all the stories you told me, which

ones were true and which ones weren't?"

"My dear Doctor, they're all true..."

"Even the lies?"

"Especially the lies."

-Bashir and Garak-

Nog: "So if I have to take command, I'll be called 'Captain'"?

O'Brien: "Cadet, when you take command there will be no one left to call you anything."

and there's this one about Garak telling Bashir about some communication rod and he tells him to eat it, and Bashir says "You can't be serious" and Garak relies "No, Doctor, I'm not" or something like that!

Just a few of many favourite lines:

Q: "You hit me! Picard never hit me."

Sisko: "I'm not Picard."

Q: "Indeed not. You're much easier to provoke. How fortunate for me." (Q-less)

"Rom's an idiot. He couldn't fix a straw if it was bent." -- Odo, to Quark (Babel)

Sisko:"Just be careful."

Odo:"Commander, there is no careful way to question a Klingon." (Visionary)

Garak: Mr Worf, you're no fun at all.

Worf: Good.

Quark: We'll have to act as if we don't know anything.

Rom: I can do that.

Bashir: I'm sure there's more than one Klingon who thinks that slaying a changeling would be worthy of a song or two.

Odo: Doctor, if a Klingon were to kill me, I'd expect an entire opera on the subject.

I had plenty of DS9 quotes in my list.

If you have something to say then say it! - Sisko to Weyoun.

Kiss the girl and get the key. They never taught that in the Obscedion Order. - Garak to Bashir.

That man loves me. I can see it written all over his back. - Quark to Kira.

Yikes! What is that? Is that a bird or a dog?

Oh that? That's a Yukaku.

What did you do with them? Keep them for pets or something?

No. We use to eat them. - Dax and Kira

Gosh, I can't remember my favorite verbatim. It was one of Odo's monologues about romance - it went something like.

"I don't understand why humans feel it necessary to write bad poetry, make a sacrificial offering of plants and alter their smell ...." it was regarding romantic pursuit.

I must admit...I do get a certain...perverse pleasure out of it.
-Gul Dukat

The key to this quote was HOW Alaimo said it (truly evil).

The quote between Kira and Jadzia Dax actually goes like this:

Jadzia: Whoa!! What's that? Is that a spider or a dog?

Kira: Pulaku. The Bajoran moons are full of them.

Jadzia: Oh I suppose you used to make then your pets and sing songs about them around the camp fire.

Kira: No, we used to eat them.

This may not be the precise quote either. It's from one of my favorite scenes in DS9, from the Visitor.

Sisko says to Jake. " Jake...my sweet boy!" and at that point Jake is an old man, older than Sisko, and has just died ( I think).

The conversation between Garak and Quark about Root Beer.

Quark: What do you think?

Elim Garak: It's vile.

Quark: I know. It's so bubbly and cloying and happy.

Elim Garak: Just like the Federation.

Quark: And you know what's really frightening? If you drink enough of it, you begin to like it.

Elim Garak: It's insidious.

Quark: Just like the Federation.

Elim Garak: Well, let me guess. You're either lost, or desperately searching for a good tai

there is one that goes something like this:

Garak: "doctor, in my quarters, if you examine the bulkhead near the replicator, you'll notice there is a false panel. in side there is an isoliner rod. if i'm not back with in (such and such amount of time) i want you to take that rod and eat it."

Bashir: "eat it? your joking."

Garak:"yes doctor, i am."

i got the quotable star trek book some time back and i had never seen ds9 yet and read that quote and fell off my seat laughing...

and i liked this one from 'the wire'

"Of all the stories you told me, which ones were true and which ones weren't?"

"My dear Doctor, they're all true..."

"Even the lies?"

"Especially the lies."

Madam Captain out!!

Here is another quote from the Siege:

Jadzia: Oh, don't tell me, seat of the pants.

Kira: With your eyes leuitenant, not your pants, just point and fire.

Earlier in this episode, Quark, Julian and O'Brien are hiding on the station and talking to Sisko through the comm system about the replicator rations:

Quark: Am I the only one who doesn't think this is funny?

Madam Captain out!!

Dukat: "Major, it seems as if our lives have become deeply intertwined."

Kira: "That pleases you, doesn't it, Dukat?"

Dukat: "Major, it gives me reason to live."

That's my all-time favorite - probably b/c - ah, well - I won't go into that here. :theforce:

One of my favorite moments isn't b/c of the dialogue. Dukat and Kira are walking down a corridor, Kira is very pregnant.

Dukat: "Shikaar's a very lucky man."

Kira: "Oh, it's not Shikaar's."

Dukat: "Whose is it, then?"

Kira: (in a very no-nonsense-didn't-you-know? tone of voice) "Chief O'Brien's."

Paying the actors - $$ per episode

Special effects - $$ per week

Look on Dukat's face - Priceless

Ok, my favorite one is when Ziyal respond's to Quark's worrying about losing business to the Dominion/Cardassians...

I don't remember the exact words, but it went something like this...

Quark: "The Jem'Hadar don't eat, don't drink or have sex...Neither do the Founders..."

Ziyal: "It might not be so bad...For all we know, the Vorta could be gluttonous, alcoholic sex maniacs..."

Quark: "I never thought of that...I wonder what their favorite food is?"

I can't remember it word for word but it was the time when Quark put the advertizements for his bar all over the station illegaly, of course. It was that "Come to Quarks, have some fun.....no don't walk run! " one. Then Kira comes up and tells Quark "If all of these advertizments are not off of the stations computer core by the time I get back from the gamma quadrant I will run to quarks and I gurentee you that I will have some fun"

This one is a little long but it's very funny. To bad it couldn't fit in my signature.

Garak:"Why is it no-one ever believes me even when I'm telling the truth ? "

Bashir:"Have you ever heard the story about the boy who cried wolf ? "

Garak:"No "

Bashir:"It's a children's story about a young shepard boy who gets lonely while attending his flock, so he cries out to the villagers that a wolf is attacking the sheep. The people come running, but of course there's no wolf. He claims that it's run away and the people praise him for his vigilance. "

Garak:"Clever lad! Charming story."

Bashir:"I'm not finished. The next day the boy does it again and the next two and on the fourth day a wolf really comes. The boy cries out to the top of his lungs, but the villagers ignore him and the boy and his flock are gobbled up. "

Garak:"That's a little graphic for children, wouldn't you say? "

Bashir:"But the point is; if you lie all the time nobody's going to believe you, even when you're telling the truth "

Garak:"Are you sure that's the point, doctor? "

Bashir:"Of course. What else could it be? "

Garak:"That you should never tell the same lie twice "

- Garak & Bashir, "Improbable Cause"

Also the one in my signature is funny

I have to agree with Spacetigger on that one, it has to be:

"Of all the stories you told me, which

ones were true and which ones weren't?"

"My dear Doctor, they're all true..."

"Even the lies?"

"Especially the lies."

-Bashir and Garak-

The two characters bounced off eachother so well.
